Texas Association of REALTORS® endorses Bill Welch
Texas’ largest association pledges its support
Austin, Texas – The Texas Association of REALTORS® announced its decision to endorse Bill Welch in his election bid for the Texas House of Representatives, District 47. Making the statement last week at the organization’s Political Communications Subcommittee meeting, TAR Chairman Dennis Patillo applauded Welch’s unyielding commitment to Texas homeowners.
“Since 9/11, real estate has been the driving economic force in Texas,” said Patillo. “Bill has vowed to represent the concerns of Texas homeowners, which is why the Texas Association of REALTORS® has pledged its full support.”
Texas Realtors are involved in the political process at all levels, promoting policies and supporting candidates who advocate property rights and homeownership throughout the state. Currently, Texas ranks 45th out of 50 states in homeownership. Electing lawmakers who understand homeowners’ concerns and act accordingly is the association’s top priority this election season.
“I am honored to have the endorsement of the 80,000 members of the Texas Association of REALTORS®,” Welch said. “These men and women work to make the dream of homeownership more achievable for all Texans, and I will strive to help support this important goal.”
With more than 80,000 members statewide, the Texas Association of REALTORS® expects to be a considerable grassroots force for Welch.
